Today it is called Bakum- reception and sorting base- in 1948 it was called Kelet, a name for reception centers of new recruits for the Hagana.
The central Kelet was located in Qiriat Meir, a neighborhood in north Tel Aviv, near a British military camp.
In this place today stand the Golda project, Arts center, Tel Aviv museum, Ariela's library and District court.
