Hulda group is in the lowland, 4 kilometers northwest to Nachshon junction. In the 1929 and 1936-39 riots the settlement suffered Arab attacks. In 1943 a big search was conducted there for Hagana's weapons. It was also a base of origin for convoys to Jerusalem and the attack on Latrun in the War of Independence.
