Guara, a hill in Ramot Menashe near kibbutz En Hashofet, served as a main base for all types of courses of the Hagana- including officers course. Those took place every year between 1941 and 1947.
In April 1948 the site was a departure point to Palmach's units on their way to counterattacks during the battles of Mishmar Haemek.
